Camille Morales-Zayas is a Writer, Director & Producer from San Juan, Puerto Rico currently based in Texas. 

 

Her films tell intimate stories that focus on universal themes surrounding grief, love and human connection within relationships. Her work has been recognized and screened internationally in festivals such as CineSol Film Festival, Berlin Indie Film Festival, Waco Independent Film Festival, Philadelphia Latino Arts & Film Festival, International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival and CineFestival San Antonio.

She graduated from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in English Literature with a minor in Film studies. She also attended The University of Carlos III in Madrid where she studied film production and explored her love for International Cinema.

Camille graduated with a Master of Fine Arts in Film and Media Production from The University of Texas at Austin. She is currently a Professor of Instruction at The University of Texas at San Antonio.

Most recently, Camille received the Austin Film Society’s 2026 New Texas Voices Grant for her first feature film, currently in development, ALMA.
